  • PCI Congratulates Consedine on Becoming the New NAIC CEO
  • The following statement can be attributed to Deirdre Manna, vice president, political engagement and regulatory affairs for the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI)

“The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) congratulates Michael Consedine on being named the new CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).

“As the former Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner, Consedine has an outstanding track record as a regulator and is well prepared to lead the NAIC during this critical period for the U.S. state-based regulatory system.

“We look forward to working with Consedine and the NAIC to ensure the views of state regulators and the benefits of our state-based system are front and center in domestic and international negotiations. The U.S. has the largest, most resilient, consumer-centric, and competitive insurance markets in the world and the NAIC has an important role in preserving the hallmark of the state system.”

  • PCI promotes and protects the viability of a competitive private insurance market for the benefit of consumers and insurers. PCI is composed of nearly 1,000 member companies, representing the broadest cross section of insurers of any national trade association.
